What does BayBold do?
BayBold is a website and digital support agency serving businesses across the Bay Area. We build business websites and offer website care, business email, reservations, payments, integrations, local SEO, and optional email, writing, or AI support. Most work is delivered remotely.
Do you work with my type of business?
We work with many kinds of local businesses, including home services, salons, gyms, studios, dental and veterinary practices, senior living providers, auto shops, and professional services. We first confirm that your project fits our capabilities and agree on any industry-specific requirements.
Do you serve the whole Bay Area?
Yes. We serve San Francisco, the Peninsula, the East Bay, the South Bay, and the North Bay. Most work is delivered remotely through calls, screen sharing, shared files, and agreed access. Website setup may include one optional local photo session in an agreed travel area; recurring visits are not part of our standard services.
How long does a new website take?
For a standard business website, we target 10–15 business days after we receive the agreed content, access, and approvals. Larger projects, platform dependencies, or delayed feedback can extend the schedule. Your proposal will set out the milestones.
Can you help with my existing website?
Yes. We begin by reviewing its platform, access, condition, and what you want to improve. Sometimes a focused update is the right answer. If the site needs extensive repair or a rebuild, we explain the options and quote the work before starting.
Will my website work on phones?
Yes. We design and check layouts for phones, tablets, and desktops, with readable text, accessible navigation, and clear call, email, and booking actions.
Can you connect our booking or business software?
Yes. Business and Growth include setup and ongoing care for agreed, supported email, booking, and payment tools. Essential can connect to a tool you already use. We confirm the platforms and workflow before starting. Custom software and complex integrations receive a separate quote; provider fees are separate.
How much does a BayBold website cost?
Essential starts at $149/month plus $499 setup. Business starts at $299/month plus $799 setup. Growth starts at $499/month plus $999 setup. Annual plans provide 12 months for the price of 10, paid upfront: $1,490, $2,990, and $4,990/year respectively, plus the same setup fees. Choose one plan; higher plans include the services in the plans below them. USD before tax. Standard hosting and one qualifying .com domain under $20/year are included. Premium domains, software, and provider usage are separate. We confirm your scope and final quote before work begins.
What is included in the monthly fee?
Essential includes standard hosting and one qualifying .com registration or renewal under $20/year, plus website care, small updates, security and backup checks, tracking setup where supported, and a monthly status update. Business adds ongoing help with your agreed email, booking, and payment tools. Growth adds local SEO, agreed Google/Yelp profile and directory work, review-request guidance, an email marketing or blog-content rhythm, and a monthly progress summary. Each plan has an agreed scope in your proposal; larger changes and custom work are quoted first.
Who owns the website and accounts?
You control your domain and business accounts. After full payment of setup, you receive the client-specific deliverables and a continuing license to reusable BayBold components included in them. Third-party assets and platforms keep their own terms. The continuing license remains in place after cancellation. Standard handoff of the agreed files and client-owned accounts is included; source-based sites include source files, and hosted-builder transfers depend on that platform.
Is there a long-term contract?
Choose monthly billing with no annual commitment, or prepay a 12-month annual plan with 2 months free. Cancel before the selected billing cycle renews. Service continues through your final paid month or year, then the canceled plan’s recurring charges stop. You can keep using your fully paid website. After the paid period, explicitly choose Domain + Hosting Only for $49/month or arrange a standard handoff to another provider. Required software remains separately paid. Setup work and any separately approved commitments remain payable. Your signed agreement sets the exact terms.
Are hosting, domains, and software included?
Standard website hosting, HTTPS, and one qualifying .com registration or renewal under $20/year are included in every plan. We cover one available, non-premium .com registration or renewal per year costing under $20/year. Your domain is registered in your business’s name and stays under your control. Bring your existing domain; it can stay at its current registrar. Premium or non-qualifying domains, hosted site-builder subscriptions, business software, custom backend hosting, and provider usage are separate and paid directly by you. We agree expected extra costs before you commit.
Do you guarantee Google rankings or AI citations?
No. Google, other search engines, and AI platforms control their own results. We improve technical foundations, business information, and helpful content, and review the available evidence. No plan guarantees a position, traffic level, lead count, or inclusion in an AI answer.
What are AEO and GEO?
AEO means answer engine optimization, and GEO means generative engine optimization. Both describe work intended to make useful business information easier for answer and AI search systems to interpret. We focus on clear content, crawl access, consistent facts, and appropriate structured data.
How do you review website content?
We review what we deliver, check business facts with you, and ask for your approval before publishing. You confirm your services, credentials, offers, and other business details so the website reflects your business accurately.
Can you help with social media?
Your business leads its regular social posting, filming, community engagement, and inboxes. We can quote focused remote help with profile connections, reusable templates, or basic edits to material you supply. These are separately quoted projects, with no monthly social content package or recurring capture visits. The business-profile work included in Growth is a local-search service, separate from social channel management.
How do I request an update?
Email hi@baybold.com with the page, the requested change, and any images or approved wording. Our standard response target is one business day. That is a response target, not a resolution guarantee. Larger changes are quoted before work begins.
Can you handle sensitive customer or patient information?
Our standard website inquiry workflows are for general business inquiries. Sensitive medical, financial, payment, and personal records should use an appropriate, separately reviewed system. Tell us about those requirements before sharing data or selecting an integration.
Can I get in touch if the plans are outside my budget?
Yes. Tell us what you need and the budget you have in mind. We can explore whether a smaller project, a narrower scope, or a phased starting point could make sense. We will be upfront about what is realistic, and there is no pressure to choose a plan.
What if I do not see the service I need listed here?
You are welcome to ask. The website covers our main services, but your project does not need to fit a package to start a conversation. Tell us what you are trying to do. We will discuss whether we can help and be honest if the work needs a different kind of specialist.
Can I book an add-on without a website plan?
Yes. Business email setup, booking and payment setup, email marketing, blog writing, AI consultation, and tools care can be scoped independently of our website plans. We first review your platform, access, and requirements. Buying a one-time setup does not start a monthly BayBold subscription.
Are software subscriptions and transaction fees included in add-on prices?
No. Add-on prices cover BayBold’s work only, before applicable tax. Mailbox licenses, booking and marketing subscriptions, payment processing, transaction fees, message usage, and other provider costs are separate. You own the accounts and pay providers directly. We confirm the expected costs and scope before starting.
Do setup projects include ongoing management?
A standalone setup-and-handoff project covers configuration, testing, and a walkthrough. Ongoing help can be quoted separately, or included through Business or Growth for agreed standard tools. Custom backends need a separate maintenance agreement or an operational handoff. No standalone setup automatically starts a subscription.
What is the difference between business email and email marketing?
Business email setup connects mailboxes such as hello@yourbusiness.com to your domain and email provider. Email marketing setup configures a separate marketing audience, signup form, branded template, and basic welcome email. Writing and scheduling recurring campaigns is another optional service.
What do the monthly content add-ons include?
We can write, prepare, and publish approved email campaigns or blog articles on supported platforms. Growth includes an agreed content rhythm; extra production or standalone content work is quoted for your needs. Topics, cadence, review, and responsibilities are confirmed before work begins. Software and sending fees are separate.
Does BayBold hold customer payments or manage refunds?
Your business owns its payment-provider account and receives payments directly. BayBold’s setup fee covers the agreed connection, configuration, test-mode checks, and handoff. Your business completes identity and bank verification and remains responsible for refunds, disputes, payment policies, and daily financial operations.
Can you help us figure out where AI would be useful?
Yes. Our AI opportunity consultation reviews your goals, agreed workflows, and current tools. You receive a prioritized shortlist of opportunities, the main dependencies and cost considerations, and a written recommendation on next steps. The consultation is a separately scoped project; a website plan is not required.
Does an AI consultation include implementation?
No. The review and recommendations are the consultation deliverables. If an opportunity looks feasible and fits our capabilities, we can quote a separate pilot or implementation project. Platform access, data needs, testing, training, and ongoing support affect that scope. There is no obligation to proceed.
Can you add AI to any platform we use?
We first check the platform, its available features or integrations, permissions, and your requirements. Some ideas can use an existing feature; others need a connection or custom work. Some will not be practical for BayBold to implement. We explain what we can support before proposing a build.
How is AI consulting priced, and who pays for AI tools?
Consultation is priced by the agreed scope. Implementation and ongoing support receive separate quotes after review. AI subscriptions, API or model usage, automation services, and other provider fees are separate and paid directly by your business. These projects are outside the standard website and tools-care allowances; we agree costs before work begins.
Is AI consulting the same as AI search optimization?
They are different services. AI consulting looks at using AI within your business workflows and tools. Our SEO and AI search foundations service focuses on making your website information easier for search and answer systems to interpret. Neither service guarantees particular results.
Can I cancel care and keep my website?
Yes. Once setup is fully paid, you can keep using the delivered website with no buyout or ongoing license fee. Cancel before renewal: the canceled core plan’s charges and support end after the final paid month or prepaid year. Choose Domain + Hosting Only for $49/month, including standard hosting, HTTPS, and the same qualifying .com renewal under $20/year, or move to another provider with a standard handoff included. The $49 service replaces the core plan only with your approval; there is no automatic enrollment or annual discount. It covers hosting upkeep and hosting/DNS help, not website edits, SEO, content, email administration, booking/payment maintenance, or custom backend operations. If you move, domain renewal, hosting, and required software become your or your next provider’s responsibility. Your domain remains yours. Additional migration work is quoted first; other retained services and approved commitments remain payable. See the service terms for renewal, refund, and hosting details.
Can the work be done remotely?
Most work is delivered remotely: website builds and care, business email, bookings, payments, integrations, and agreed content or AI projects. We use calls, screen sharing, shared files, and agreed account access to understand the work, configure your tools, test the customer journey, and hand it over. Your business owns its accounts and approves the changes.
Do we need regular on-site visits?
No. Most projects use photos you supply and are completed remotely. If useful, we can quote a one-time local photo session separately. Recurring visits and filming are not included. Regular social-media capture sessions and video shoots are not part of our standard services.
What does light video editing include?
Light video editing uses suitable footage you provide. We agree on the number of clips and source-footage allowance first; standard outputs are short vertical clips of approximately 15–45 seconds, with simple cuts, captions, formatting, and one consolidated revision round. You review and publish the finished files. Filming, complex production, recurring visits, and ongoing channel management are outside this service.
Are payment, booking, and email setup prices one-time or monthly?
A standalone setup project covers the agreed configuration, testing, and walkthrough for a supported platform you own. You can take the handoff or choose ongoing help; a one-time project does not automatically start a monthly subscription. Business and Growth include ongoing care for the agreed standard email, booking, and payment tools. Standalone tools care is also available by quote. We confirm the systems, updates, checks, and support responsibilities in your proposal. Standard website hosting and a qualifying .com domain are included in core plans. Software subscriptions, custom backend hosting, processing, messaging, and usage fees are separate and paid directly by your business. Setup pays for initial work; monthly service pays for the ongoing work we agree to perform.
What does ongoing business tools care cover?
Business and Growth include ongoing care for the agreed standard email, booking, and payment tools. Standalone tools care is also available by quote. We confirm the systems, updates, checks, and support responsibilities in your proposal. Standard tools care covers supported hosted platforms within the agreed scope. Custom software, complex integrations, daily business operations, campaign production beyond your content scope, and staffed 24/7 incident response are separate. Extra work is approved before it is billed.
Does a custom backend need its own maintenance plan?
A custom backend or code-dependent integration receives a separate build and monthly maintenance quote. We agree on hosting, monitoring, updates, recovery, support, and handoff responsibilities before taking operational responsibility. Standard website hosting and a qualifying .com domain are included in core plans. Software subscriptions, custom backend hosting, processing, messaging, and usage fees are separate and paid directly by your business. Setup pays for initial work; monthly service pays for the ongoing work we agree to perform.
What happens if I cancel custom-system maintenance?
If custom-system maintenance ends, hosting and operations need a handoff to you or another provider. Website ownership does not include free ongoing backend operation. Any extra migration work is quoted and approved in advance. Keeping your fully paid website does not require an ongoing BayBold license fee. We agree on the transfer of operational responsibilities before maintenance ends; custom backend hosting and provider charges continue separately.
Do I pay for more than one plan?
No. Choose one core plan. Business includes Essential, and Growth includes Business. You pay the selected plan’s setup and monthly fees; the lower plans are not added again. Services already included in your plan are not charged again as add-ons.
What website updates are included?
Every plan includes routine maintenance and small updates to your existing website. Larger changes, new features, and redesigns are quoted first. Your proposal confirms the update scope and how requests are handled; support is not unlimited.
Could I be charged twice for a connection or shared task?
We confirm what your plan already covers before quoting extra work, so the same setup, connection, or content task is not charged twice. Business and Growth include agreed standard business tools; Growth also includes agreed local search and content work.
What happens if content approval is late?
You approve content before publication or scheduling. We agree on materials, review deadlines, and the delivery schedule in your proposal.
Can I pay annually and get two months free?
Annual plans include 12 months of support for the price of 10, paid upfront. The setup fee is separate and is not discounted. Add-ons and third-party charges are separate. Monthly plans renew monthly. Annual plans renew yearly; cancel before renewal to stop the next charge. Support continues through your paid service period. Online orders begin at checkout and include setup. Cancel before renewal by emailing hi@baybold.com. Prepaid fees are not automatically prorated or refunded except where required by law; see the service terms.
Can I bring my existing domain, and which domains are included?
Bring your existing domain or choose an available .com. We cover one non-premium .com registration or renewal per service year when its annual registration or renewal price is under $20, while a core plan or Domain + Hosting Only is active. Availability and renewal pricing are checked before purchase. Existing domains can stay at their registrar; no transfer is required just to use our hosting. We arrange renewal payment or reimbursement for a qualifying existing domain with you. Premium domains, other extensions, domains costing $20/year or more, purchases from another owner, extra domains, and transfer or recovery fees are separate and require your approval. If renewal pricing stops qualifying, we explain the options and agree any separate cost before renewal. There is no cash credit for an unused domain benefit or reimbursement for charges incurred before service begins. The business remains the registrant with account and recovery access.
Can I keep just domain and hosting after canceling support?
Domain + Hosting Only is an optional $49/month service for existing BayBold websites after a core plan ends, before applicable tax, with no new setup fee for keeping the existing supported site in place. It includes the same standard hosting, HTTPS, DNS configuration, infrastructure updates, uptime monitoring, backups, and qualifying .com renewal benefit. Website edits, content updates, SEO, email administration, booking or payment integration maintenance, marketing, and custom backend operations are not included. Requests about hosting, DNS, or outages remain supported. Third-party costs and any separately approved migration or custom work remain extra. It renews monthly, has no annual two-month discount, and can be canceled before renewal by emailing hi@baybold.com. It starts only with your explicit approval after the core plan’s paid period ends; cancellation never enrolls you automatically. If you decline it, arrange a hosting handoff before the core plan ends. Domain ownership and the continuing website license remain yours; afterward, domain renewals and hosting become your or your next provider’s responsibility.
